We’re lighting up the world

Brides to be times three

We spent the day surprising three of our teachers who are due to get married during the summer holidays. There was lots of music, laughter, fun and frolics. Thank you once again to our amazing cook who made three more personalised cakes for our beautiful brides to be. Fond Farewells

It has been a week of looking back at very happy times and looking forward to new beginnings. We will miss Mrs Chapman our wonderful classroom assistant who has helped so many children achieve their targets over many years at Hazel Wood, also Mrs Birkett who has done a fantastic job of helping children, parents and staff in her role as Admin assistant and last but certainly not least Mrs Sledge, our inspiring and caring Music and Art specialist teacher whose creativity and kindness has brought so much to our school community. We wish them great happiness in their new endeavours

Totton’s Got Talent

What fun we had watching the winning act from each class perform in front of the whole school. Thank you to our thoughtful judges who made such lovely comments. Everyone who took part did a fantastic job and it was very difficult choosing an overall winner. The cup went to the hula hooping champions! Congratulations!

Hanger Farm

 

The children in Year 2 enjoyed improving their tennis skills in the sunshine at Hanger Farm last week.

Scootability

The Otters, Foxes and Owls had a great day learning how to safe on their scooters. They were surprised at how tricky it was to pass each other safely but with lots of practise they managed not to crash into each other!

Taekwondo Tiger of the Month

Congratulations to one of our Hedgehogs who has worked so hard at training this month that she has been awarded Taekwondo Tiger of the Month. What a great achievement, well done!

Another swimming award!

How fantastic, one of our Mice has been working hard in the pool to swim on 5 metres on his front and back, jump in the pool by himself, push of the side and even roll right over in the water. Great achievement, keep up the good work.
